The golden boy or is he?

let's face it, the french aren't really big fans of Americans or Lance Armstrong. for years he has dominated the tour DE France and has become a millionaire in the process. The French have always claimed that he was a cheater, that he was doping; maybe this would explain how he was so dominate , and won the tour DE France 7 times. Armstrong has retired, then decided that he wanted another chance at the tour and he is currently participating in it. he is not what he once was, and not everyone can be a Brett Farve and get better with age. it seems like when he decided to come out of retirement it wasn't really a great time, because his teammate Floyd Landis had been doping and he claimed that Armstrong also had doped in the past. it is hard to believe what Landis says, because when he was initially confronted with a positive test for performance enhancing drugs, he denied it and said there must have been some type of technicality, he even personally told Armstrong this and went to court to even fight it. so , to me it is hard to take the word of someone who lied for 4 years. Lance Armstrong has been a great sports hero, he is a cancer survivor and the jokes about him being the uniballer are extremely funny. now things have gotten even worse for Armstrong, he recently hired a top notch criminal defense attorney, who can hopefully clear his name. the case against him wont be easy to win, it sad because, if it is true that he was doping all this time , i know that people will be disappointed, i will be personally. Why do athletes cheat, whatever happened to doing it on your own. only time will tell with this case, which is sure to be high and profile with lots of witness and money spent on defense.
